Prop firm discount codes that still work — and how to tell for yourself
Every coupon page claims its codes work. Almost none says when it last checked. FundedTicker holds five prop firm discount codes, all worth 10% with no stated expiry, and all last confirmed at the source on 16 September 2026. That date is the honest answer to "do they still work" — not a promise about today, because no list can make that promise. This guide gives you the five codes with their check dates, explains why codes die quietly, and shows the 60-second test that settles it before you pay.
Affiliate disclosure: FundedTicker may earn a commission if you buy a challenge through our codes or links. This does not change the price you pay. Prop firm challenges are simulated trading accounts; passing one is never guaranteed and you can lose the fee you paid.
The five codes, with dates
| Firm | Code | Discount | Firm status | Last confirmed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The5ers | 6QK5G | 10% | Selling | 16 Sep 2026 |
| Trade The Pool | BOF7BBUJ6W | 10% | Selling | 16 Sep 2026 |
| TradersYard | RHYRMMQ5CK | 10% | Selling | 16 Sep 2026 |
| Instant Funding | AFF8704 | 10% | Selling | 16 Sep 2026 |
| YRM Prop | 168193 | 10% | Sales paused | 16 Sep 2026 |
None of the five had a stated expiry date at that check. That sounds reassuring and is actually the opposite, for a reason worth understanding.
Why "still works" is a question nobody can answer in advance
A discount code can stop working without anyone announcing it. The three common ways:
It is quietly deactivated. Affiliate codes are issued by the firm and can be rotated, downgraded or switched off at any time. Nothing visible changes on a coupon site; the code simply stops reducing the total.
It never covered your program. A code can be live and still do nothing on the specific account size or program you picked. That looks identical to a dead code at checkout.
The firm stops selling. YRM Prop is the example in our own list: at our check its site showed "Funding Currently Unavailable" and new accounts were not for sale. The code is intact; there is nothing to apply it to. A list that ignores firm status will keep showing you that code as if it were usable.
Notice that none of these produces an expiry date. A code with no stated expiry cannot auto-retire — which means a list carrying such codes only stays accurate if somebody keeps re-checking by hand.
What our own freshness rule says today
FundedTicker flags a code as needing re-verification once the last check is more than 14 days old. That rule lives in the site's code, not in our marketing copy.
Being straight with you: our five codes were confirmed on 16 September 2026, which is more than 20 days ago as this page is published. All five therefore carry that re-check flag right now. The discounts are still the best information we hold, and nothing suggests they changed — but "verified 20 days ago" is not the same claim as "verified today", and we are not going to blur the two.
A code with a real expiry date would disappear from our pages automatically once it passed. Ours have no expiry, so they depend on a manual re-check instead. That is exactly why we print the date on every code and why you should run the check below regardless of which site sent you.
The 60-second check that settles it
Do this before you pay, on any code from any site:
- Pick your program and account size, and go all the way to the checkout summary.
- Write down the total before entering anything. This is the step people skip, and without it you cannot prove the code did anything.
- Paste the code into the promo field — copy and paste, do not retype.
- Apply it, and wait for the total to refresh.
- Check the new total is exactly 90% of the number you wrote down. For a 10% code on 249 USD, that is 224.10 USD.
- If it did not move, the code is dead or your program is excluded. Ask support which, before paying full price.
If you want the longer version with the specific ways checkouts trip people up, see our checkout guide.
Five signs a "working codes" list is stale
Useful whether or not you came from here:
- No check date on any code. The single biggest tell. "Updated daily" in a heading is not a date on a code.
- No firm status. If a list shows a code for a firm that has paused sales, nobody has looked recently.
- Suspiciously round, suspiciously large numbers. A standing 40% or 50% off is usually a seasonal promotion quoted long after it ended, or a figure nobody verified.
- The same code at a different percentage on another page. Affiliate discount levels differ by partner; two different numbers for one code means at least one is wrong.
- No mention of program coverage. Codes that cover every program are common but not universal, and a list that never raises the issue has not tested it.
What to do when a code fails
Retype it in capitals with no spaces first — that fixes a surprising share of failures. If it still does nothing:
- Try it on the cheapest program at that firm. If it works there but not on yours, your program is excluded rather than the code being dead.
- Compare the total against any public promotion running that day. Most firms do not stack, and a sitewide sale can beat a 10% code outright. Take whichever final number is lower.
- Tell us. We re-check a reported code and update the date on its page, or remove it.
And keep the discount in proportion. A 10% code saves 24.90 USD on a 249 USD challenge. One failed attempt costs you the whole fee again. Our cheapest challenge breakdown shows how retries dwarf the coupon, and the True Cost Calculator puts your own numbers against cost to first payout.
FAQ: prop firm discount codes that work
Do these five codes still work today? We can tell you they were confirmed at the source on 16 September 2026 at 10% each, with no stated expiry. We cannot tell you they work this minute — nobody honestly can without checking. Run the 60-second test above; it takes less time than reading this answer.
Do prop firm discount codes expire? Some carry an expiry date and stop working on it. None of our five stated one, which is less helpful than it sounds: a code with no expiry can still be switched off silently, so a date-stamped manual check is the only real signal.
Why does FundedTicker show a re-check flag on its own codes? Because our rule flags any code last verified more than 14 days ago, and all five currently exceed that. We would rather show you the flag than quietly imply the data is fresher than it is.
Is a 10% code a good deal for a prop firm challenge? It is a reasonable baseline that is available whenever you buy, rather than a seasonal spike you have to wait for. If a firm runs a deeper public sale, compare final totals and take the lower one.
Can I use a code on a firm that paused sales? No. YRM Prop's 168193 was 10% and had no expiry, but accounts were not for sale at our check — so there is nothing to discount. Always confirm a firm is selling before hunting for a code.
Risk warning: Trading leveraged products carries a high level of risk. Prop firm challenges are simulated accounts with a non-refundable fee; most participants do not pass, and meeting a profit target does not guarantee a payout. Nothing on this page is financial advice.
