The5ers vs Instant Funding: which challenge is cheaper after the code?
If you are weighing The5ers vs Instant Funding, the question is rarely "which one is better" but "which one costs less to get started, and what am I actually paying for". The entry fee is only the first line of that bill. The true cost of a prop firm evaluation includes the price after the discount code, the rules that decide whether you end up buying a second attempt, the profit split on the simulated account, and how far that account can scale. This comparison uses only data FundedTicker checked on 2026-09-16 and shows the price after each 10% code.

| Maximum scaling | Up to 4,000,000 USD | Up to 1.28M USD (instant) and 3.84M USD in total | 2026-09-16 |
Both codes give 10%, have no stated expiry and were last confirmed on 2026-09-16. They reduce the evaluation fee only; split, drawdown and every other rule stay the same.
What each firm charges at the door
The5ers: 249 USD becomes 224.10 USD
On 2026-09-16 the 1 Step Growth program on the5ers.com was labelled "Summer Plan" at 249 USD. Enter 6QK5G at checkout and the fee drops 10% to 224.10 USD. It is the only The5ers price we have read directly on the official site, so it is our reference figure.
One caution: third-party sites quote The5ers "from 235 USD" or a "19 USD entry" without naming the program. Neither matches the official 249 USD, and the "Summer Plan" label suggests a promotional price that can change, so apply the code to whatever the checkout shows on the day you buy. Prices and rules for High Stakes, Bootcamp and Futures are not yet in our records, so we do not quote them.

Instant Funding: the price only appears after login
Instant Funding sells simulated accounts from 625 USD to 4,000,000 USD, but on 2026-09-16 it did not display prices publicly; they appear once you create an account. The AFF8704 code gives 10%, and with no visible list price you cannot tell whether it worked unless you check. Write down the logged-in checkout total first, enter AFF8704, and confirm the new total is exactly 90% of that number. If it does not move, the program may be outside the code's scope; ask support before paying.

Why the true cost goes beyond the fee
A lower fee can end up more expensive if the rules make a second purchase more likely, so "249 USD versus X USD" on its own is misleading. Here are the rules we verified on 2026-09-16.
The5ers rules (1 Step Growth)
Growth has a 10% profit target, a 6% maximum loss, a 3% daily loss limit, 1:100 leverage and a cap of two active accounts. A 3% daily limit in a single-step evaluation is tight for larger position sizes; breach it and the evaluation ends, and the next attempt costs money. We do not yet hold The5ers reset or activation fees, so treat a second attempt as a full-price purchase until the firm says otherwise.
Instant Funding rules (by program)
Instant Funding sells several models, and the cost profile changes with each one:
- Instant Funding (no evaluation): no evaluation stage, no consistency rule and no daily drawdown; the account scales up to 1.28M USD in 10% steps.
- One-Phase: 9% target (Clarity) or 10% (Standard); the Crypto version asks for 10% plus at least 7 trading days.
- Two-Phase: targets of 8% and 5% (Standard) or 8% and 4% (Crypto).
- IF Evolve: 6% target, a 40% best-day consistency rule, a minimum of 5 profitable days and an 80% split.
- IF Micro: no profit target, 80% split and payouts on request; Micro Pro splits 60–95% depending on how long you hold the account.
The no-evaluation model removes the risk of paying twice after a failed attempt, but the price of that convenience is only visible after login. Evolve has the lowest target (6%), yet its 40% consistency rule can neutralise one exceptional day and delay the first payout.
What we still cannot verify
For both firms we do not yet have the reset fee, any activation fee on the simulated account, or the official policy on stacking a code with a sitewide promotion. All three affect the true cost; until we hold the official documents, ask support and enter the answer in the calculator.
Split and scaling: where the gap shows up later
At Instant Funding the standard split is 80%, rising to 90%, and the IF1 program starts at 90%. At The5ers the data diverge: one tier lists 75/25 while another page says "up to 100%". We treat this as an open question until we have the official table.
On scaling, The5ers advertises up to 4,000,000 USD, a self-reported average payout time of 16 hours and monthly payouts; Instant Funding lists 1.28M USD on the instant model and 3.84M USD in total. The5ers also launched Single Stock Futures on 2026-09-08, though we do not yet hold prices or rules for it. A trader who stays with one firm for years can offset a higher fee with a higher split; a trader who only wants to test the model feels the entry fee most.
How to finish the maths in the True Cost Calculator
The True Cost Calculator compares two firms by what you would really spend, not by the headline discount:
- Enter the fee the checkout shows today: 249 USD for The5ers Growth; for Instant Funding, the figure from your logged-in account.
- Apply the 10% from each code (6QK5G and AFF8704) and check it matches the checkout total.
- Add reset or activation fees if support confirms them; otherwise leave them at zero.
- Enter the split of your program (80% at Instant Funding; at The5ers, the figure shown for your program).
- Compare the total in a realistic scenario that includes one possible second attempt.
So, which one is cheaper after the code?
On the verified data, The5ers is the only one of the two with a public, auditable price: 249 USD that becomes 224.10 USD with 6QK5G. Instant Funding may well be cheaper, especially on accounts starting at 625 USD, but that can only be confirmed in a logged-in checkout, and a fair comparison depends on the program, because the no-evaluation model and Evolve carry very different risk profiles.
If you want the lowest verifiable price today and trade comfortably inside a 3% daily loss limit, The5ers Growth with the code is the more transparent route. If you would rather not risk failing an evaluation step and accept seeing the price only after signing up, Instant Funding's instant model deserves a run through the calculator. In neither case should the 10% code decide the choice; it is the last adjustment to the price, not the reason to buy.

Frequently asked questions
Can the 6QK5G or AFF8704 code be combined with a sitewide promotion? Most prop firms do not stack codes, and an automatic promotion may be replaced by the code rather than added to it. We do not yet have either firm's official policy, so compare the total with and without the code and keep the lower one.
What does an Instant Funding evaluation cost? On 2026-09-16 the site did not show prices publicly; they appear after you create an account. Note the logged-in figure before applying AFF8704 so you can confirm the 10% reduction.
Is The5ers profit split 75/25 or 100%? Both figures appear on different pages of the official site, most likely for different programs or tiers. Confirm the split for your program at checkout; we will update this page once we hold the official table.
Do the codes 6QK5G and AFF8704 expire? At the 2026-09-16 check both give 10% with no stated expiry. The date of every check is shown on each code page, and we remove a code as soon as it stops working.
Does a discount code change the rules of the simulated account? No. Both codes reduce the evaluation fee only. Targets, drawdown limits, split and scaling stay exactly as the firm publishes them.

Risk warning: prop firm evaluations give access to simulated accounts, not real capital. Passing is never assured, and paying an evaluation fee does not ensure funding or profit. Trading involves a substantial risk of loss. Nothing on this page is financial advice.
