Instant Funding vs TradersYard: where each split actually wins
This is the one match-up in our data where neither firm publishes a fee we could verify. So a price comparison is off the table — and saying so is more useful than inventing one. What both firms do publish is their profit split, in enough detail to compare properly. So that is what this piece does: it works out, from the two published structures, exactly which firm pays you more at which payout size. The answer has a crossover point, and it is not where most people would guess.
Affiliate disclosure: FundedTicker may earn a commission if you buy a challenge through our codes or links. This does not change the price you pay. Prop firm challenges are simulated trading accounts; passing one is never guaranteed and you can lose the fee you paid.

Why there is no price section
Instant Funding does not display prices publicly — they appear once you create an account. TradersYard's fees were not published clearly enough for us to record either. Between them that is eight programs with no verified price in our data.
We do not print prices we have not read at the source, so there is no "X costs less than Y" line here, and any site that gives you one for this pair is quoting something undated. The practical consequence: you cannot compare these two on cost without reaching both checkouts yourself, and at Instant Funding that means registering first.
That is a real mark against both, and it is worth weighing on its own. If knowing the price before handing over an email matters to you, our cheapest challenge breakdown covers the two firms that do publish one.
The split maths, worked out
Here both firms are forthcoming, and the structures differ in a way that actually matters.
TradersYard pays in tiers: you keep 100% of the first 300 USD of a payout, 90% of the portion up to 1,000 USD, and 80% of anything above. Instant Funding pays a flat 80%, which it describes as upgradeable to 90%.
Applying both structures to the same payout:
| Payout size | TradersYard | Instant Funding at 80% | Instant Funding at 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 300 USD | 300.00 | 240.00 | 270.00 |
| 500 USD | 480.00 | 400.00 | 450.00 |
| 1,000 USD | 930.00 | 800.00 | 900.00 |
| 1,300 USD | 1,170.00 | 1,040.00 | 1,170.00 |
| 2,000 USD | 1,730.00 | 1,600.00 | 1,800.00 |
| 5,000 USD | 4,130.00 | 4,000.00 | 4,500.00 |
Two findings fall out of that, and both are exact rather than approximate:
Against Instant Funding's base 80%, TradersYard wins every time — by exactly 130 USD per payout once you are above 1,000 USD. Not roughly: the gap is 130.00 USD at 1,500, at 3,000 and at 10,000. The tiered structure front-loads a fixed advantage that never erodes, because both firms pay 80% on everything above 1,000 USD.
Against Instant Funding's 90%, the two are identical at a 1,300 USD payout. Below that TradersYard pays more; above it Instant Funding does. If you withdraw in small, frequent amounts, the tiers win. If you withdraw in larger lumps, the flat 90% wins — provided you actually have the 90%.
The condition hiding in "upgradeable"
That proviso carries the whole comparison. Instant Funding's split is 80%, upgradeable to 90% — and we have not verified what unlocks the upgrade. It could be a paid add-on at checkout, a reward for consistency, a function of how long you hold the account, or specific to certain programs. We do not know, so we will not assume it.
Read the table accordingly. The middle column is what we can verify you would get; the right-hand column is a conditional outcome. On the verified figures alone — 80% flat against the tiers — TradersYard pays more at every payout size we tested.
Before choosing on this basis, ask Instant Funding's support exactly what the 90% requires and get it in writing. It is the single question that flips the result.
Structures either side of the split
Both firms offer instant funding with no evaluation phase, which makes them the natural pair for anyone who wants to skip evaluation risk. Beyond that the ladders differ.
Instant Funding runs five programs: the instant account, One-Phase, Two-Phase, IF Evolve in a futures style, and IF Micro, a smaller no-evaluation account. TradersYard runs three: Instant Funding, 1-Step and 2-Step. If you want a small no-evaluation account to test the process, IF Micro has no equivalent at TradersYard in our data. Our one step vs two step guide covers how the stage count changes your risk of paying twice.
On assets, Instant Funding adds crypto to forex and futures. If crypto is part of your strategy, that settles it: TradersYard does not offer it.
On ceilings, Instant Funding lists 1,280,000 USD against TradersYard's 300,000 USD per account — roughly four times. Treat that as a long-horizon figure rather than something you will reach soon.
What neither firm has verified
For both, the rules that decide whether a payout is ever due are missing from our data: profit targets, daily and maximum loss limits, whether maximum loss is static or trailing, consistency rules, minimum trading days, and reset fees. A split only matters once a payout is actually owed, so get these in writing from support before you pay. Our payout rules guide lists the exact questions.
One more thing on the TradersYard side: at our check its homepage advertised a 30% promotion on larger and instant accounts. That is the firm's own offer, not our code, and we do not know whether the two combine. Compare both totals and take the lower.
Verdict
On the figures we can verify, TradersYard is ahead on the thing that recurs. Its tiers beat Instant Funding's base 80% at every payout size, by a fixed 130 USD above 1,000 USD, and it publishes those tiers in plain numbers you can check before paying.
Instant Funding wins on breadth and on upside: crypto as well as forex and futures, five programs including a micro account, a ceiling roughly four times higher, and a 90% split that overtakes the tiers above a 1,300 USD payout — if you can get it.
Since neither publishes a fee, the deciding question is not price but which of two unknowns you would rather resolve: what Instant Funding's 90% costs you, or what TradersYard's rules are. Code pages: Instant Funding and TradersYard; longer reviews: Instant Funding review and TradersYard review.
FAQ: Instant Funding vs TradersYard
Which is cheaper? We cannot tell you. Neither firm published an entry fee we could verify on 16 September 2026 — eight programs between them, none priced in our data. You would have to reach both checkouts, and Instant Funding shows prices only after registration.
Which has the better profit split? It depends on payout size. TradersYard's tiers pay more than Instant Funding's base 80% at every size, by exactly 130 USD per payout above 1,000 USD. Instant Funding's 90% ties TradersYard at a 1,300 USD payout and pays more above it.
How do I get Instant Funding's 90% split? Unverified. The data records it as "upgradeable to 90%" without stating the condition, so ask support in writing before counting on it. On the verified 80%, TradersYard pays more.
Do both offer instant funding without an evaluation? Yes — that is their main overlap. Both run a no-evaluation instant account, and Instant Funding also offers IF Micro, a smaller no-evaluation option with no TradersYard equivalent in our data.
Can I trade crypto at either? At Instant Funding, yes: our data lists forex, crypto and futures. TradersYard covers forex and futures only.
Risk warning: Trading leveraged or volatile products such as forex, futures and crypto carries a high level of risk. Prop firm challenges are simulated accounts with a non-refundable fee; most participants do not pass, and meeting a profit target does not guarantee a payout. Profit splits are shares of simulated profit, not returns on your own capital. Nothing on this page is financial advice.
